About Me
I'm Jed. My work focuses on subjects that represent home, memory and identity through a surrealist lens to untangle gender experiences and childhood memories. I draw inspiration from clutter found in both personal and family photographs, referencing a variety of new and old media. I enjoy oil painting, illustration, photography and a little bit of performance. In my work you will encounter dreamlike scenes that are littered with porcelain dolls, chairs, blank television stares, helpless creatures and dead fish?
Bio
Currently based in Seattle, WA. Exhibited in the Uptown Art Fair in Minneapolis, MN, Friedli Gallery in St. Paul, MN, The Wash in Capitol Hill, Woodland Theater in Ballard, Cornish College of the Arts’ Behnke Gallery, Common Area Maintenance in Belltown, and Jack Straw Cultural Center in University District. Former photographer for the Naughty Nellie's Burlesque Club (2023-2024), as well as Seattle band Clairvoyant Sun (2023-2024). Published illustration work with Chum News (2026), Gen Pride (2026), Hyperboy (2024-2026), Amy Hall (2025), Diana Fay (2023-2025), Pink Steam (2025), Disposable Parts (2025) and WiseAcre (2024).
